POLITICAL GOALS
1
EQUITABLE DISTRIBUTION OF NATURAL RESOURCES
Lincoln Bain believes that the natural resources belong to the people and therefore the people should benefit from them. One of Lincoln Bain's primary political goals is to ensure that Bahamians receive their fair share of royalties from the country's natural resources through a sovereign wealth fund. He believes that these resources have been historically exploited, and under his leadership, he aims to rectify this imbalance by guaranteeing every Bahamian their birthright, which includes a share of the nation's natural wealth.
2
Transparency and Accountability in Government
The Bahamas does not have a crime, immigration, healthcare or immigration problem. The Bahamas has a corruption problem. Bain is a staunch advocate for transparency and accountability within the government. His leadership of the Coalition of Independents is rooted in the principles of open governance and the fight against corruption. Bain's political activities often emphasize the need for a government that is accountable to its citizens and transparent in its dealings.
3
Empowerment of Bahamians
Another significant goal for Bain is the empowerment of Bahamian citizens. This has been his life mission. Through his political platform and initiatives like the Bahamas Business Boot Camp, Bain seeks to provide Bahamians with the tools and opportunities needed to succeed in business and other areas of life. His vision includes creating an environment where Bahamians can thrive economically and socially. He envisions a BAHAMAS FOR BAHAMIANS FIRST.
4
Addressing The Immigration Crisis
Bain has been vocal about immigration and citizenship issues in the Bahamas. He has led protests and faced arrests advocating for policies that address what he views as an immigration crisis. His methods are bold and unorthodox, yet innovative and have sparked important national conversations. Bain remains committed to bringing attention to these issues and pushing for legislative changes.
5
Island States and City Government
Mr Bain's major goal is to take power away from the politicians and give it to the people. To accomplish that he will lead the passing of legislation to transform our family islands into Island States and City Government. This means that the money made on the islands will stay on the islands. City government means the islands are divided into cities and these cities have their very own budget to determine what is done in them.

AUTHOR
Lincoln Bain is the author of the internationally acclaimed book “Identity Crisis.” This powerful book about finding one’s identity and purpose has touched lives all over the world with some readers saying it is the best book they have ever read. As a result of the books success Bain has been invited to speak at schools, universities, businesses churches, entrepreneurial groups and civic organizations. Bain is a captivating speaker with an unbelievable knowledge base.
Bain co-founded Bahamian Evolution, an organization dedicated to educating Bahamians about and fighting for their birthrights and to benefit from their natural resources. The organization has produced a series of documentaries that have had a profound impact on the national consciousness.
Bahamian Evolution was founded by Lincoln Bain, Charlotte Green and Cara Ellis. Bain wrote, produced and directed a series of powerful documentaries that aired on National TV. The documentaries caught the attention of the nation and brought the discussion of our natural resources to the forefront in the nation. Bahamian Evolution release never before seen secret documents that proved the value of our natural resources.
|
The documentaries lead to protests and other civic actions. Bain drafted a bill to repeal an existing archaic act that prevented Bahamians from benefiting from our aragonite industry to replace it with a bill to empower Bahamians to benefit. The bill was tabled in the house of assembly by an FNM and PLP Member of Parliament. The government vehemently opposed a bill to allow Bahamians to benefit from natural resources, but the bill was tabled, nonetheless. After hours of the government arguing against the bill the house speaker gave the opportunity to vote on whether the bill should be tabled. At that moment all who were against were against the bill were invited to stand but no one stood. Shocked the speaker said the bill is tabled after which the government MPs attempted to stand but it was too late. The next week they sent the bill to committee block it. It was nonetheless an historic and monumental moment in Bahamian history.
Bahamian Evolution continued in the following weeks by filing for commissions of inquiry in reference to our Natural resources and even filing a complaint with the FBI. The government was forced to prorogue the House to avoid the commissions of inquiry. Meanwhile the pandemic lockdowns were in full force. The government of the day imposed ill thought-out lockdowns on the people. Bain and the COI team, some of whom were arrested, fought the government forcing it to reverse some of its actions.
CHANGE IS HERE
In March 2021 Bishop Walter Hanchell invited independent candidates and third parties to meet to form a coalition. The grouping of independent candidates voted to work together. They voted on a name and a mission statement and voted unanimously for Lincoln Bain to become the leader. In April 2021 the Coalition of Independents was officially launched. The organization under the leadership of Lincoln Bain continued to educate and advocate for the Bahamian people. Five months later the elections were called. Lincoln Bain showed his unstoppable drive and tireless leadership, campaigning in every constituency including his constituency of Pinewood.
The COI did extremely well only being in existence for 5 months before the election was called and having only 3 weeks to campaign before the elections began. The COI and candidates it endorsed received almost TEN THOUSAND votes. What impressed voters most about the COI is that after election they continued to work on behalf of the Bahamian people. They are seemingly the first political party to do so.
The COI has held several successful protests since the 2021 elections. They continue to travel the family islands to address and bring light to issues faced by residents. From shanty towns to illegal immigration to corruption and our natural resources and carbon credits the COI has controlled the nation's conversations and forced the government to address issues. The Coalition of Independents (COI), now a political party that has gained significant momentum in a short period. The COI advocates for the rights and empowerment of Bahamians, emphasizing the equitable distribution of the country's natural resources. Bain's political career is marked by his commitment to transparency, accountability, and grassroots mobilization.

The COI has made it their mission to educated the Bahamian People. They have traveled to many Islands holding townhall meetings to educate the masses.
Fearless Advocate for the People
Throughout his career, Lincoln Bain has consistently championed the rights and causes of ordinary Bahamians. Bain has fought small and major causes too numerous to detail here. He has fought and won against the government, banks, insurance companies and employers abusing the common man. Some of his notable efforts include:
Sea Hauler VictimsSea Hauler Victims: Bain advocated for the victims of the Sea Hauler maritime tragedy, ensuring that their plight received national attention. He was victimized and his businesses were attacked while fighting the government for these victims, but he persisted and won a million-dollar settlement for the victims.
|
He spent hundreds of thousands fighting this cause and, in the end, refused repayment from the victim’s settlement. Everyone thought this case was impossible to win because it was statute barred but with Bain’s fearless persistence and God’s intervention the case was won.
Cabbage Beach VendorsCabbage Beach Vendors: Bain played a key role in advocating for the rights of vendors and the general public to access Cabbage Beach when it was unlawfully closed twice. This was done by a corrupt PLP government back door deal. Bain and a group of protesters went to the beach and tore down the fence that was erected to block beach access. Bain and eleven others were arrested. The case was dismissed after two long years on bail and after a change in government.
|
A few years later the FNM government allowed the beach access to be closed blocking vendors and Bahamians from accessing the beach. All of the vendors property including beach chairs and umbrellas were removed from the beach and dumped on the side of the street. Bain organized a team and went to the beach and again tore open the gate. Bain, his team and the vendors carried the vendors belongings back to the beach and restored access and commerce to the area.

Lincoln Bain travelled the Bahamas showing that 30 thousand Bahamians applied for crown land and were being ignored. Meanwhile thousands of illegal immigrants were taking over our crown land. The government was initially in denial but Bain and his team going into the shanty towns to show the impact forced the government to take action.
The crown land in New Providence was being burnt by immigrants to make coal. It was causing serious health issues for persons in the neighbouring communities. Bain and a group of Bahamians found and exposed the coal kills and drove the illegal coal makers away. The forest fires stopped. Weeks later Bain discovered a coal shipping operation in the yard of Member of Parliament Leroy Major. The operation was shut down.

Defending Ms. Curry
Jestina Curry is a retired nurse who aquired crown land. She built a house on the land and began farming until illegal immigrants chased her from the land, destroyed her house and her crops. They threatened to harm her if she returned to the land. She tried for years to get justice to no avail. She contacted Lincoln Bain. He served notices of the persons and brought a tractor to demolish the illegal homes. Police were sent to stop Bain and abduct him. Bain was abducted live in from of the entire nation. He was released a short time later. He continued to push until the homes were demolished and justice was delivered to Ms. Curry.
Attack at Parliament
In 2023 Lincoln Bain and several supporters went to the house of assembly to deliver an immigration bill to parliament. Bain was attacked by a senior police officer on the steps of Parliament. Several citizens who witnessed the unprovoked attacked and were arrested. Bain and those innocent Bahamians slept on a concrete floor for 48 hours before being taken to court. Other police officers who witnessed the attack testified against the senior police officer confirming that the crowd was peaceful until Bain was attacked. Bain and the others have since sued the police force and the government for this incident. The matter is still before the courts.
CARICOM
Also, in 2023 Bain was abducted by another senior police officer while being interviewed by the media outside of the Bahamar resort. Caricom was to take place at the resort the next day. Bain was a paying guest of the resort. Bain was driven around New Providence in an unmarked police vehicle for 6 hours before being taken to the furthest station from where he was abducted. He was held there for more than the legal 48hours before taken to court. After Bain was abducted crowds began to gather at the scene. They were instructed to go to Goodman’s Bay Beach about a mile away. They complied. The police showed up at the beach and began brutally assaulting innocent by standers. Many were injured and some arrested. They were not protesting when they were attacked by police. Persons were held for more that 48 hours until social media outrage forced the police to take them to court. Bain and the victims are presently suing the police force and the government for this incident.
|
As a result of the atrocities against Bahamians Bain lead a protest in Miami in front of the Bahamian Embassy. It showed the difference in how peaceful demonstrators are treated in civilized countries verses Banana Republic Dictatorships.
|
BEYOND BORDERS
Bain’s humanitarian impact has reached beyond the borders of his native Bahamas.
While in college in Florida, Bain led the largest student organization on campus, "The Bahamian Connection," and fought for Bahamian students to receive scholarships, demonstrating his commitment to supporting his fellow countrymen from an early age. The organization lead by Bain was so strong that the PLP, FNM and CDR traveled to Florida to campaign to this body.
HAITI
|
In 2010 Haiti experienced a devastating earthquake. The Bahamian government announced that it could not offer any assistance to Haiti because the US government had taken over Haiti’s airport and had turned away the prime minister of Barbados in the air. Not one to take no for an answer, Bain partnered with a pilot and loaded a plane with food and medical supplies. They called the US military and got permission to deliver aid to Haiti. It turned out that the military simply wanted planes to come on a schedule because there was no flight tower. Bain’s leadership and persistence lead to scores of charities following his lead to bring aid to Haiti. Bain spent the next few years in Haiti assisting in the rebuilding of the nation. He saw an opportunity to provide his IT and consulting services to many businesses there.
