The purpose of this Reform Plan is as follows:
Currently (BPL) Bahamas Power and Light Company has a published maximum installed capacity of 438 (MW), Megawatts covering New Providence and the Family of Islands.
BPLs Station A, which is located at Clifton Pier was completed at a cost of 96.8 million dollars ALONE. An addition to the national debt which was incurred to implement a system of energy production that is NOT in keeping with the GLOBAL TRENDS & INTERNATIONAL ENDORSEMENTS towards Alternative & Green Energy Systems. The Station A uses seven Wӓrtsilӓ 50DF engines with an individual power rating of 18.85 Mega Watts. Fossil Fuel Burners that collectively are capable of producing 131.95 Mega Watts. This national energy design is going in the Wrong Direction!
It is believed that 50% of the energy produced by the current systems are lost due to lamp pole cable runs?
Businesses will still pay.
How is that possible? We are moving to renewable energy sources.

Why would we commit ourselves as a Nation for another 20 years to Fossil Fuel Technologies and its many debilitating appendages and toxic biproducts especially when we have ample access to a readily available source of energy for FREE due to our global positioning?
There are Many Green Energy Innovations & Initiatives that can be locally utilized to facilitate a NATIONAL NEUTRAL CARBON FOOTPRINT while costing our country Absolutely….. NOTHING!
There are several Green Energy options that we are exploring. We have gone through each of these options with our local & international experts:
1.Solar System Grid Configuration
The logistical position of the Bahamas near the equator with direct sunlight coverage for most of the year makes this the best National Primary Source of Energy.
2. Heliostat Systems
This System uses a reflective array to send heat to a given location to heat water and use the steam created to run the Electricity Generator. It can best be used to power large Industrial Operations that are zoned in remote areas such as Agricultural Companies and Textile Companies that may be fully outfitted with electronic infrastructure, hardware and vehicles.
3. Tidal Power
With the cooperation of the tides with the coastal generator configuration of this technology in a strategic place where it is at least 5 Meters or 16.50feet Deep at Low Tide (i.e., The Glass Bridge Eleuthera), we can effectively produce substantial energy output.
4. Wave Power Stations
This energy system uses the consistent, persistent movement of the waves to generate power and can effectively be utilized by remote offices, that may be logistically positioned to benefit from the offerings of this type of green energy.
5. Hydro Power
The natural eb and flow coupled with Strategically placed near mangroves, water current diversions may be set up by creation of artificial channels to facilitate access to this potential energy source. (Areas near the Abaco and Andros Mangroves)
Which System will we use?
We plan on using Solar Arrays & a Nationalized Grid configuration as the primary system to acquire energy to supply the whole nation with clean quantifiable solar energy.

- Out of that number, 360 Million is used for FUEL cost!!! That speaks volumes!!

- Electricity will be FREE to all Bahamian residents for residential use
- Each location will produce a daily amount of energy with its local solar array
- If the Solar Systems production exceeds the homes electrical needs, the excess energy created will be fed back into the National Power Grid.
- When this happens, the producing household will receive a credit or issue of monetized value of the energy sent back into the grid from the Utility Company. This check can be used for any purpose the recipient deems necessary. The more the excess in power production that is sent to the Grid, the larger the Solar Credit.

DISTRICT COOLING SYSTEM
We will facilitate the cooling of every home and business in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas with our District Cooling System. Residential Cooling will be FREE and Commercial Cooling at significant cost savings

Australia is one country that has done just that. They have engaged in the production of power in the Australian Outback and have set up the infrastructures needed to sell and send this power to Singapore which is over 4000 kilometer or 3,106 miles away. Watch this video
