YAMACRAW

YVETTE PRINCE

Yvette Candace Prince is a credible activist, humanitarian and transformational leader. She is a native of Nassau, Bahamas, born on September 2, 1963. Yvette is the 9th of 11 children born to Lawrence and Mary Prince who were both entrepreneurs.

As an entrepreneur and business owner of Shell Souvenirs and Treasures by the Sea International for the past thirty-five (35) years, Yvette serves as a lifelong Ambassador in the tourism sector and is well known globally for her creativity, excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, and pleasant personality. Trailblazing in her field and because of her outstanding work in handicraft innovation, she was nominated for the prestigious Cacique Award. Yvette’s purpose was to serve the industry. Her growing love and compassion for people transformed her into a humanitarian; her acts of kindness have helped many at-risk and vulnerable persons.

Serving for the last seventeen (20) years as President of the Festival Place Tenants Association, she has earned a reputation as a voice of reason and change. Through her engagement in the association, she ensured fair play and helped to foster conditions for successful business entrepreneurs and operations. Her colleagues and peers were so confident in her integrity, passion, poise and strong representation that she held this position unopposed for the duration.  She is a catalyst for positive and impactful change.

Following her graduation from St. Augustine’s College, in Nassau, she pursued an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Communication and Spanish, from the University of the Bahamas (UB), formerly College of the Bahamas (COB).

In 2017 she additionally graduated from Kingdom School of Ministry, with Dr. Cindy Trimm Tomlinson - world renown Empowerment Specialist, bestselling Author, and Life Coach- and remains an active Alumni member of the School. As a lifelong learner Yvette has attended many developmental seminars including Dr. Cindy Trimm’s “Woman Who Shape Our World Leadership” conference held in Washington, DC, and Rainmaker’s business coaching course and Wealth Camp in Las Vegas with Bill Walsh, owner of Power Team International.

Yvette is a strong woman of faith and an avid student of one of her spiritual fathers, the late, great Dr. Myles Munroe, founder of Bahamas Faith Ministries (BFM) International. Her vision is to help others find their purpose and motivate them to maximize their full potential and assist in the revitalization of the tourism industry.  As a mother with two sons, one of whom has special needs, her plan is to create an environment for people with disabilities so that they will have a more fulfilling life.
